Cycling loop from Ballina to Ennsicrone

This cycling route from Ballina to Enniscrone is one of my all time favourite ‘quick’ loops in the North Mayo and Sligo area. The loop is around 35km with about 250m of elevation. I like to fit this route in as morning cycling loop, but it can also be stretched to a full day of exploring Mayo & Sligo on the bike.
Following this cycling route from Ballina to Enniscrone is the perfect opportunity for a spin through the remote green countryside of Mayo & Sligo. You will reach Enniscrone towards the end of the loop, so you can enjoy a coffee, a dip in the sea or a full day of beach town fun.
I love a refreshing jump from Enniscrone pier to cool down after a cycle. A relaxing walk along the unspoilt beach is another great thing to do in this picturesque beach village. Check out the local cafes, pubs and coffee vans for lunch, before you tackle the few rolling hills of the Coast road on the way back to Ballina.
